The Handrail team is excited to announce the release of the new Home page to help your organization more easily find and make use of existing research.
The Home page provides a simple, central location to search and browse research across all workspaces in your organization.
Global Search on the Home Page
Performing a keyword search from the Home page searches the content of all insights and studies across your organization’s research repository.
You can now view insights separately from studies, making it easy to explore the details and evidence of each insight.
Additionally, filters are now available to narrow search results and more easily target research with particular attributes and tags.
Search results can be quickly scanned, with the details a click away.
Browsing Insights by Tags on the Home Page
The Home page also has a list of tags that have been applied to insights, making it easy to browse insights by topics that are meaningful for your organization.
To make the most of insight tags, you’ll want to use the Tags Taxonomy to define a set of tags and categories that apply to insights. Check out our previous tag taxonomy blog post and Help Center article on the topic.
The Right Level of Detail in Search Results
Selecting an item in search results gives you quick access to more details without losing your place.
Because studies often contain a lot of information, the details panel for each study provides an overview with the right level of detail to decide how relevant the study is before digging in further.
The details panel provides several useful links. For example, for each insight, the details panel includes the following links:
- Access the study associated with the insight
- Contact the insight’s creator
- Share the insight with others in your organization
We’d love to hear what you think about the new Home page and search experience. Once you get a chance to try them out, let us know how it’s going! You can also schedule a demo for a guided tour of the new features.
